February/March Highlights

Ojibweg Winter Games and Family Fun Day

The 2013 season is off to a good start. January was the busiest January on record and many campers traveled north to spend time cross country skiing, snow tubing, ice skating and shoe shoeing. We served another 400+ participants during the second annual Ojibweg Winter Games and over 300 community members participated in the annual Lac du Flambeau Family Fun Day. Thank you to all the volunteers who help make these events possible. It’s important we give back to the community and your assistance is appreciated!

We’re Still Contacting Donors

THANK YOU to all the families who have contributed to the annual Faith in Families Campaign! We are still contacting past and present campers, so please say yes when a volunteer calls you! To date, we have over $50,000 pledged toward our 70,000 goal. We have several new families who have joined the Big Crooked Lake Paddlers level. If you have not been contacted and still would like to make a gift please donate on-line at https://donate.ymcachicago.org/ and earmark your gift to Camp Nawakwa Annual Fund. Make sure you specify in the drop down menu to designate the gift to Camp Nawakwa Annual Fund.
